Although many hotels in Hanoi are helpful and trustworthy but there are still some scams artists arround. By connecting with taxi/bus drivers to lure tourist to their hotel to change money. Otherwise, by standing infrond of the hotel which you have booked to claim they are the same company and the resent hotel is full to drive you to other hotel and no one can eventually guarantee the service of the latter hotel, or predict what scam will come next.
